Barcelona’s CTI Festival to host a presentation on graphene, research and companies

The science technology and innovation festival will take place from June 4th to 20th

On the occasion of the opening of the Barcelona’s Science Technology and Innovation (CTI in Catalan) Festival, the city will host a presentation entitled “Graphene, research and business. An exceptional commitment to innovation and competititveness in Europe”.

The presentation will be carried out by Dr Andrea Ferrari, President of the Executive Council of Graphene Flagship, founder and director of the Center for Graphene of Cambridge.

The Graphene Flagship research initiative is the largest and best equipped in the history of the European Union that seeks to reach European society, generating economic growth, new jobs and new opportunities for Europe with the complicity of research and companies. From its first steps, Graphene Flagship has brought academia and industry together in order to give a boost to innovation in Europe.

Key issue for Thermaco

Graphene is one of the key topics of the Thermaco project, which focuses on using novel and efficient carbon based metarials for heat evacuation. It provides manufacturing technologies to integrate thermal highways based on graphene and TPG into aluminium cast parts, applicable in many key technologies and products.
